An Evening of Interesting Things – review of The Pod Delusion
lidir. Repost from Skepticism-UK Forum:
buy Pregabalin usa Having never been to Conway Hall, it was with some trepidation that I followed my fellow Skeptics in the Pub organisers, Simon Clare and Tim McGregor down a small alley nearby Holborn tube station. After some drinking and some marching (not in that order) for Secularism in Europe, we made our way there to see interesting things.
The Pod Delusion is a magazine podcast that broadly describes itself as being about ‘interesting things’, with the caveat that these interesting things usually pertain to the sceptical mindset and outlook. The Pod Delusion recently turned 3 years old, representing 156 episodes.
Anyone can submit something to the Pod Delusion, providing they have a good argument or are to report on something that has not already been covered. I have recorded something for the Pod Delusion three times and I hope for more!
In true geek fashion, instead of a party where small talk and awkwardness would likely abound, we gathered for an evening of talks – a mini conference, of sorts.
First up we had @SillyPunk, otherwise known as the Pod Delusion’s Deputy Editor Liz Lutgendorff. Liz welcomed us and treated us to a history of Conway Hall – something I was glad of, not having been before. Under the banner of ‘to thine own self be true’, things moved on swiftly to Martin Robbins‘ odd talk.
